After yesterday’s announcement in the Evening Courier that David Wells aka ‘Freddy the Fox’ was standing down as club mascot we at the Halifax Town Supporters’ Trust would like to pay tribute to all the hard work David has put in for the club over the years.
Since his introduction in 1998 Freddy has become an integral part of the Halifax Town match day experience. Many people, adults and children alike, will have fond memories of Freddy the Fox. His work in the community has endeared him to many residents in Calderdale and he deserves an enormous amount of credit for the time he has put in to promoting Halifax Town in the community.
We wish David all the best for the future.
